The New York couple play comic leads Ado Annie and Will Parker in "Oklahoma!" which will be performed at the RiverPark Center next week. Of course, Ado Annie and Will Parker get together in the musical. The same is true for Nyhan and Zygo. They will wed Saturday in Burnt Hills, N.Y. They'll fly here Monday. Then, on Tuesday, they will play opposite each other for the first time as husband and wife. "We'll have so much chemistry and emotions rushing through us," Nyhan said in a telephone interview. "I think it's going to be such a wonderful performance." Since September, she's been the understudy for the Ado Annie role. The actress who played the part left the show, presenting the opportunity for Nyhan and Zygo to perform together. They met eight years ago in college, but they didn't start dating until 2000. They were engaged in October. "We did a lot of shows together in college," Zygo said. Their acting careers have separated them from time to time, but they've often been able to work together, as they do now. "We've managed to work together successfully," Zygo said. For the next five weeks, they'll be on the road in "Oklahoma!" When the show ends, they will set up house in New York.
To have both of them working in the same show is a blessing, Nyhan said. "It's a dream come true. It's something that doesn't happen to most people, especially in this business," she said. Earlier, they requested time off this week. They planned to use it to get ready for the wedding. "We've been planning this whole wedding on the road," Nyhan said. "Praise the Lord for the Internet and cell phones." They look forward to honeymooning in Owensboro. "Weddings are an incredibly emotional and wonderful time," she said.
